With the apps, there are several ways to get information from them, not just opening the app. You can get notifications to Action center, you can open the app and you can see information on the tile you pin. So at least 3 ways. I am talking about.. If you pin an app to the Start tiles, and then you go into Start, then look at the tiles..
They show different things and rotate stories there in the tile area. Have you used it? You can try pinning one to your start tiles. So after you pin them, stories rotate on them when you have the tile screen open. It works for most of the apps that i pinned Just shows the tile and says 'News'. I will do a screen shot when i am home on my Win10 machine. I would suggest that you add News app to your start tiles and see if anything happens for you.
Let me know what you find. Tell us about your experience with our site. Is this because i have it pinned to the Start tiles?? I wonder if that is why. This thread is locked. For example, if you ask Siri for the weather, you can pin the result, which will update on the fly, into the Notifications Center panel of Mac OS. Or you could ask Siri to show you documents from today, and pin that search result into Notifications Center on the Mac. You can remove a pinned Siri search from Notifications center easily at any time by opening Notifications Center and then clicking on the X icon next to the items title.
